Our Highland Cattle

Our cattle are the heart of Ravenhill Reserve.

Although carefully handled and selected for their calm temperaments, they are large animals with horns and may react unpredictably.

Our animals are never forced to interact with guests.

While we strive to create wonderful encounters, we cannot guarantee that every Highland cow will choose to approach or engage during every visit.

Please:

  • Follow all staff instructions.
  • Approach animals only when invited.
  • Remain calm and quiet.
  • Do not feed animals unless instructed.
  • Respect each animal’s space.
  • Do not climb on fences or gates
