Participant Waiver & Release of Liability

Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in activities conducted by Ravenhill Reserve, including interacting with Highland cattle and entering a working cattle property.

I understand that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• contact with livestock;
• animal behaviour that may be sudden or unpredictable;
• horns, kicking, pushing or stepping by animals;
• uneven ground, mud and slippery surfaces;
• electric fencing;
• insects, snakes and native wildlife;
• changing weather conditions; and
• other hazards associated with rural properties.

I acknowledge and agree that:

I participate entirely at my own risk.

I will immediately follow all directions given by Ravenhill Reserve staff.

I understand that the Highland cattle are living animals and interactions cannot be guaranteed.

I will not approach, feed or handle livestock unless instructed.

I understand Ravenhill Reserve may end my participation immediately if my behaviour places people or animals at risk.

I am physically capable of participating.

I have disclosed any medical condition that may affect my participation.

I accept responsibility for supervising any children accompanying me.

I understand that photographs may be taken during my visit and have advised staff if I do not wish to appear in promotional material.

I accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to my personal property.

I agree to comply with Ravenhill Reserve’s Biosecurity Policy.

Release

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, I release and discharge Ravenhill Reserve, its owners, employees and representatives from liability for personal injury, loss or damage arising from my participation, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

I acknowledge that nothing in this document excludes rights or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
